I love vacationing in the Cayman Islands. It’s one of my favorite places to visit because it’s relatively close to the United States and it isn’t too expensive to head over there. Located in the heart of the Caribbean, a trip to the Cayman Islands is a great way to get away over the winter. If you’re planning a trip to the Cayman Islands, here are some great things to do!
Cayman Islands Things To Do
There is no shortage of things to do in the Cayman Islands. Seriously. There’s something fun for everyone! Head to Stingray City to go snorkeling with the Sting Rays and you could even go bird watching if you like to see the wildlife. If you find yourself on the island Cayman Brac, I recommend exploring Skull Cave. This is where families in the area used to shelter from hurricanes. And while enjoying your time on the islands, why not indulge in world-class food and drink? There are tons of great restaurants in the area, my favorite being the Rum Bar at Point Beach.
Cayman Island Resorts
Of course, lodging is important no matter where you decide to go on vacation! While there are several 5-star hotels scattered among the Cayman Islands, there are some more affordable gems tucked throughout the country, too. I’ve personally stayed at the Wyndham Reef Resort, but I have heard that Villas of the Galleon are just as impressive. However, one should keep in mind that the hotel REALLY doesn’t matter, the islands are so gorgeous you are likely to spend little time here, anyway!
Cayman Islands Seven Mile Beach
Seven Mile Beach is one of the most commonly visited tourist destinations in the entirety of the Cayman Islands. Spread out along seven miles, there are plenty of places perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and even snorkeling. Walk along the beach until you find the picture-perfect spot to set up shop. Just as soon as your toes sink into the super soft sand you’ll immediately know why it is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of the world. Definitely add this to your list of things to do on the Cayman Islands!
